Modern Warfare 2 - Prestige Emblems Remaster

Having been a fan of the Call of Duty franchise for over 10 years, I decided to go and revisit arguably my favorite entry in the series (MW2) and combine it with my newfound expertise in CGI. Re-making these emblems has been a challenging experience, from actually gathering reference material with any semblance of detail to aid in my process, to providing a clean and efficient edge flow on the more complex models. I'm very pleased with the end products and have loved giving such an iconic part of my gaming history a CG remaster!

Reference used for the emblems - Most of these were less than 250 pixels across making it hard to make out much of the detail

Prestige 1 - This emblem acted as the basis for how the others would be created and textured. I actually ended up using the star shape from this emblem along most of the others since it would save a lot of time and keep them uniform

Prestige 2 - I ended up saving this emblem for last since I was stuck on how to do the detail on the front. Found more real life medal reference and it ended up being easy enough to create

Prestige 3 - A fairly simple emblem, only issue was maintaining the circular shape when adding edge loops

Prestige 4 - This was a fun one to texture, used a paint based material for the white and red parts which turned out looking pretty nice

Prestige 5 - Probably my favorite emblem. Had fun making the shape for the bomb and lightning, along with the lighting hitting the back parts of the emblem just right

Prestige 7 - This one took a good while longer than the rest, due to the complexity of having the entirety of the detail within just one shape (the star). For the small star I used that shape since the reference was too unclear as to what the shape is

Prestige 8 - Had fun making the swords for this one. The shading of the dirt on the cross along with the 'ruby' as the gem was a nice change of pace

Prestige 9 - I was dreading this emblem before starting the project but it was fairly easy to make. Hardest part was placing the stars on the texture so that they were lined up evenly
